HOW TO ENTER:
Make your Halloween costume using FABSCRAP materials (and other upcycled materials), then show us your creepy creation. Be sure to:

Include upcycling and creative reuse details in the caption
Entries must be posted by 12:00PM on Thursday, November 1, 2018. (so you can party in your costume and choose your favorite pic the next day)
Our favorite costume will be announced at our Reuse and Refresh: Curated Customization event with All Brand Purposes and Royal Vision on Saturday November 3, 2017. The winner will receive a custom pair of RV Gucci Jays, courtesy of Royal Vision, posts on our social media channels, and bragging rights.
Need some inspiration? Learn from the pros! We’re hosing a Costume Designer Meet-and-Greet and Expert Panel on Monday, October 22nd at 6:30pm at the FABSCRAP Warehouse. RSVP to attend!

Pet costumes are eligible
Entries should give explanation about the upcycled components of the costume. Special consideration given to costumes in which every element is made from FABSCRAP material. Upcycling from other sources is encouraged. The more reuse, the better!
Even if you're not in NYC, you can still shop for scraps to include.
Winner will be chosen by the FABSCRAP team. We will vote on our favorite.
Anyone may enter the contest, but please note, the prize does NOT include airfare, lodging, food, transportation, or anything other than stated.

Texworld: Who can benefit from FABSCRAP?
Jessica: For the recyclers, I would like to be able to provide service during both the design and production processes. Hopefully they can redirect all requests for excess fabric to FABSCRAP, which can provide a selection of reusable fabric from numerous companies at once. For the reusers, I would like to not only provide fabric in a sustainable manner, but create stories around the awesome, innovative projects happening in New York City. For both groups, I hope I’m a resource for information and data on commercial textile waste and creating transparency around the current challenges, exploring all potential solutions. In the next few years I would love to develop FABSCRAP in Los Angeles, where there is also a hub of design, manufacturing and artisans.
